STUDIO POLICY 2024-2025
I believe that music should be taught to everyone without exception. Music teaches us how to tell stories and create moods without words. It's a universal language that brings people together. It is my duty as a music teacher to build a solid foundation of musical knowledge, and a love for music that will last a lifetime.
Learning music should be curiosity-driven, and enjoyable. It's an active-learning experience that will help students develop time management skills, communication, patience, and perseverance. Learning a subject that is full of self-expression will take vulnerability on the students’ part. It is my job to create a safe and enthusiastic environment to explore creating the art of music.
TUITION
2024-2025 Rates for In-Person Lessons (per Student):
$30 per weekly 30 minutes (Charged at $102 a month through the school year)
$50 per weekly 60 minutes (Charged at $170 every month through the school year)
Invoicing
Monthly invoices through the school year (September through June) will cover 34 weeks of lessons divided equally over those 10 months so that your monthly payments will stay the same. This accounts for 6 weeks off that our studio is closed, and 3 additional weeks off for absences for any reason. There is no need to schedule a make-up unless you have already missed 3 lessons. July and August are more flexible and will be billed for expected lessons in those months.
Advanced payment is needed to reserve your time slots for each month. Invoices will be sent out on the 22nd and due by the end of the month. You can store your information on Square so that payments will be automatically made on the 29th. Invoices not paid before the 1st of the month will incur a $10 late fee.
CANCELLATION AND MAKE-UP POLICY
Your monthly payment reserves your slot for that month. Once a month begins, it is nearly impossible to fill that time with another student. Therefore, tuition payments are non-refundable except under special circumstances. You may cancel and reschedule a lesson up to 24 hours before our scheduled time. Virtual lessons are an option in lieu of cancelling an in-person lesson due to sickness. You can access your upcoming lessons to reschedule or cancel by going to your bookings page.
Days that the studio will be closed are on the following days:

Labor Day Week (September 1st through 7th)

Memorial Day Week (May 25th through 31st)
Additional breaks may occur throughout the year and are always announced well in advance. If circumstances force me to cancel a lesson for any reason, I will do my best to provide a make-up time that will work for you. If you have any questions about an invoice, please let me know immediately.
